My first impressions after my taxi ride from the airport to my hotel were WOW! What a mind blowing hectic, bustling, turbo-charged, exciting, chaotic city!!
After spending 2-weeks in the city my impressions were WOW!
Bangkok is a city with a beautiful mix of old and new. Golden temples like Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Grand Palace & Golden Buddha. All situated among new ultra modern sky scrapers and malls.
Open air Tuk Tuks and motos navigate their way through the streets above the Modern, air-conditioned, automated mass transit systems.
The city is steeped in Buddhist tradition, where over 400 wats (temples) blend with modern skyscrapers. Bangkok is the spiritual heart of Thailand, where 95% of the people practice Buddhism as their religion.
